    Hi All:

Thought you might like links to my photography portfolios at iStockphoto and GettyImages. Just recently got accepted by GettyImages. I constantly add more photos so check back now and then.

    Good Morning! And Happy Holidays!

Yeah, I say that because I never got around to sending out Christmas cards. We were trying to get a family picture taken on one of our hikes and they all got cancelled for one reason or another. I am still working on getting a picture taken so you may still get a card from me! :)

I’ll get you up to speed on what is going on down here in SW MO. The house building really slowed down (for a lot, it actually stopped) and that affected Todd’s electrical business. He actually didn’t have any work for about 6 weeks in Oct-Nov. He did get a lot of projects finished around the house, though! He picked up some work from a company that does insurance work on damaged (fire, water) houses. I think he’s about fed up with them and won’t be working much longer for them- takes too long to get paid, plus they’re very unorganized!

Colt decided to take a year off from starting college. Todd was very busy for awhile and hired Colt. But in order for Colt to work legally for him, he had to go to Electrical School to get a journeyman’s license. He goes to school one night a week and has really enjoyed it. Then when Todd slowed down, he laid Colt off. But Colt wanted to finish school (he has to go 2 years and work 2000 hrs/yr to get his Master Residential license) so he got a job with Todd’s old boss. Colt is still planning on starting Crowder next fall and finishing electrical school. He’s leaning towards computer engineering, but we’re trying to get him to think about the Alternative Energy engineering degree.

Dakota is a sophomore and still home schooling. He was interested in Forestry, but then he found out how much it paid (or didn’t, depending on how you look at it!) so now he doesn’t really know yet where he’s headed. A lacrosse league started in NW Arkansas so he’s been enjoying that. His first game is in April in Tulsa (yeah, we’ll be traveling for this one since there’s not a whole lot of teams in this area).

I started back doing massage therapy. I go to people’s homes now - no office, no rent! It has been slow picking up clientele. But I think that’s OK. I am going to be running for McDonald County county commissioner. The county commissioners are responsible for the county’s budget, buildings, bridges and roads. The election is in November.

Hope all of you have a great 2008! I’m looking forward to reading all the blogs here!
