Promotion

After working in my job at the MSU Union building for year and a half, I’m receiving a promotion. My new official title will be Student Supervisor.
Currently my duties include running a cash register, stocking snacks and souvenirs, distributing commencement apparel and giving general campus information. With my promotion my responsibilities will more than double. I will be responsible for supervising my co-workers, creating schedules, customer service, training new employees, aiding the managers when they aren’t available and attending commencement ceremonies and distributing gowns and the ceremonial staff to faculty and distinguished speakers.

I’m very excited! Not only does the promotion include a pay-raise, I get to work more hours with a more flexible schedule (all of which are great for a poor college student).
