hi, everyone:

the keyboard is wacky in this internet cafe, but i wanted to let you know that i am fine and things are going great.  it is an exercise in patience to travel with a group.  i miss toilet seats.  apparently here toilet seats are a misunderstood luxury of tourists.  outhouses and rustic bathrroms are a hole in the floor.  our farm home stay was a hole in the floor of the livestock pen.  our privacy a curtain of feed bags.  interesting experience.  food here is mainly potatoes, potatoes and eggs, potatoes, rice and potatoes, potatoes and chicken and potatoes, potatoes and potatoes and potaotes….  yesterday i ordered salad and got a salad!

we  toured mostly agriculture in the cental mountains the first week, now we are up the northwest coast touring the fishing industry.  but today we are taking a day to see the temple of the sun, a pre-incan archelolgical site.

i got tons of photos.
see you soon,
