Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water

Just as the economy is showing a modest sign of life, you get news like this: 400 tons of gold bars used for trade have been found to contain tungsten cores. This fake gold has been found at the new Hong Kong desposit and is suspected as also being in the US Fort Knox holdings and the 200 tons the IMF just sold to India. This only accounts for about 4% of the above ground gold in the world, but it is still very significant. Below is the link.
