Jobless benefits start ending on Sunday

Most Americans look for our various governments both local and federal to take care of our basic societal requirements. We expect them to take care of and plan for the common defense, we expect them to maintain and run a road and highway system, a public school system, a postal system. Heck we even expect them to handle the garbage. Many a city mayor over the years has lost his job in this country simply because he could not contain a garbageman strike. On Sunday, extended federal benefits for the unemployed will end due to politicking and gridlock in the US Senate. The unemployed were held hostage for the sake of politics and they have lost. Those who have lost their jobs due to nothing they did or could control will now lose what little financial security they have due to the fools who run our national government.

Both Democrats and Republicans share in this blame. Finger pointing at “who did what,” as to “who has taken what stance,” is meaningless to those million unemployed who will now lose this simple basic income as a result of stupid political infighting in Washington. Once again, I call on all those who read this blog, come this November, regardless of who is your Senator or Congressman, throw the bums out! Once again, you can rest assured I will personally be voting on only those new people I feel will stand up and do what is right for Americans and not what is right for the politics of a given party.

Together, let us put these hypocritical bums in Washington on the unemployment line this November.
